"Do you want to learn sliders from me?"Glasses Ace Promises to Teach Super Rookie the Secret

I really want to learn how to slider from Park Se-woong in the spring camp."

Kim Tae-hyun, the future of the Lotte Giants, has been classified as an "important" player since his debut season in the pro league. Kim was proudly listed in his team's first-team spring camp that began at the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Center in Tainan, Taiwan on March 25.메이저사이트

At the 2025 KBO Rookie Draft held last year, Kim was the fourth-ranked player in the first round. Lotte paid attention to Kim's potential as he dominated batters of his age when he was an amateur at a time when left-hander resources were scarce.

Kim is 185 centimeters tall and weighs 87 kilograms. Last year, when he was a junior at Gwangju Jeil High School, he recorded a special record of six wins and two losses with an ERA of 1.33 in 19 matches and 61 ⅓ innings.

Lotte coach Kim Tae-hyung has boldly included Kim in the list of the first spring camp for 2025. "He has great reviews (from coaching staff)," he said before leaving the country, indicating that he will check his pitching capabilities during the off-season training in Taiwan.

Kim Tae-hyun is preparing to make his professional debut in Taiwan with seniors such as Ki Ra-sung. Although he still looks young, he is said to display his fighting spirit on the mound.

"My first goal is to prepare well for this season and make the first team without any injuries," Kim said as he participated in the spring camp for the first team. "I think the results will follow if you throw hard for the Rookie of the Year award."

However, as he is a rookie, he seems to have no choice but to be nervous all day long at the spring camp he joined in his first year as a pro. In the beginning of the off-season training, Kim seemed to have more nervousness than excitement.

For this reason, Kim could not easily bring up the slider question that he wanted to learn from his senior Park Se-woong. "I really want to learn how to slider from Park during the spring camp," Kim said right before his departure for Taiwan. "I haven't had the chance to talk to you in person. I want to ask questions in Taiwan," Kim said, but he still had no time and mental leeway.

Kim can play fastballs, curves, and folk balls in the mid to late 140 kilometers range. Based on his ball power, he is said to have displayed competitive edge in the first division as well. However, in order to successfully settle down in the professional league, he needs to install additional sliders that can be a huge weapon in dealing with left-handed hitters.

At Lotte, Park Se-woong, who plays one of the best sliders among active players, is a "glass ace." Park Se-woong also says he will teach his know-how to his juniors before the actual practice game.

Park Se-woong laughed, saying, "Young players still don't come up to me easily and talk to me," and said, "At the beginning of the spring camp, everyone trains under tension, so it will be difficult to approach seniors with age differences. I think Kim Tae-hyun will naturally ask me for sliders if the atmosphere gets relaxed little by little and communication with each other increases."

"I can teach Kim Tae-hyun all of my sliders at any time. In fact, just because I tell him how to throw doesn't mean he can throw 100 percent," he said. "I will teach Kim Tae-hyun everything generously as far as I know."
